Ministry Staff

Xavier Lukins

Xavier came to know and put his trust in the Lord Jesus in his late teens. After working as an architect, Xavier studied at Moore Theological College to enter full-time gospel ministry. With his wife Libby, he served in France with CMS for 14 years – initially amongst university students, then as an associate pastor in an Evangelical Free Church in Paris, and finally as the main pastor of another Evangelical Free Church, in Viry Chantillon, a suburb of greater Paris. Apart from becoming a Christian, he considers that one of the best things God has led him to do was marry Libby. They have four children: Zac, Max, Alana and Abi.

Jum Naden

Pip and Jum met in Sydney while Jum was studying at Moore College, and while Pip was teaching Sunday School in a church plant seeking to reach the aboriginal community in Redfern. They were married in January 2017 and moved to Tamworth to take up the role as Curate with St Peter's. Jum has lived in both rural and urban areas and loves both. Before going to study in Sydney, Jum worked as a diesel mechanic in Broken Hill. Jum loves to fish, play golf, play his guitar and cook. Two Spaniels keep them on their toes. Jum has a passion for Indigenous Ministry and is excited at all the Gospel prospects and opportunities that being in Tamworth brings.

Andy Bryan

Andy grew up on the north shore of Sydney in a family that was engaged and involved in their local church. Being a little slow to catch on to what was going at church it was only after high school and looking at the reliability of the resurrection accounts that Andy started following Jesus. Once this had clicked Andy wanted everyone to know what the bible had to say and how helpful it is for all of life. He loves cooking/eating, reading, and will play any sport possible. He met Jess (an Armidale girl) while studying theology at Moore College in Sydney and they now have 3 children (Audrey, Wally, Theo). They spent the first 6 years after college serving God's church in Surry Hills in Sydney before joining the team at Tamworth at the start of 2022.

Mick Woodley

Mick grew up in Tamworth, and by the grace of God became a Christian at a young age through his parents. After finishing highschool in Tamworth, Mick moved to Newcastle, which is where his passion for knowing & teaching God's Word flourished. After studying, working, and a two year MTS Apprenticeship with Hunter Bible Church, Mick and his wife Laura moved back to Tamworth for work, and have called St. Peter's home since. At the beginning of 2020, Mick joined the paid ministry team at St. Peter's to oversee the Youth & Membership ministries. He is also currently working through a Bachelor of Theology, part-time through SMBC. Mick loves listening to & playing music and going for walks with Laura and his two children - Moses & Ezra.

Angus Martin

Angus is a redeemed son of God, husband to Olivia, and father of some wonderful kids. He moved away from Tamworth to study at the University of New South Wales (Bachelor of Social Research and Policy/Human Research Management) and more recently at Moore Theological College (Bachelor of Divinity). Angus worked in tertiary academic administration before training for ministry at Campus Bible Study, UNSW. The Martin family have since served at Engadine and Heathcote Anglican Churches and St Mark’s Anglican Church, South Hurstville during their time at Moore College. At the start of 2023 Angus joined the St Peter's staff team part time, he is also working for City Bible Forum (citybibleforum.org) where he partners with workers to help them reach their colleagues with the gospel. He is committed to biblical ministry and faithful evangelism because he longs to see people trust and follow Jesus.

Ministry Training Mindset

Jesus said to his disciples “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-37. Our prayer at St Peter’s is that God will continue to raise up gospel workers for rural Australia. As a larger Anglican church in the rural diocese of Armidale, St Peter’s is ideally placed to be proactive in ministry training.

To that end we are involved in taking on ministry trainees and year 13 students who can spend some time gaining experience in ministry. This training will help to equip these young people for a lifetime of ministry and God willing, these initiatives will help us raise up the next generation of gospel ministers, not just for rural Australia, but possibly into all the world.
